Becker, Kranyak win Nail LM Pairs
Phillip Becker of Beachwood OH and Kenneth Kranyak of Parma OH are the winners of the Nail Life Master Pairs, narrowly edging out Kevin Collins of Dunwoody GA and Olin Hubert of Atlanta GA. Becker and Kranyak qualified for Saturday’s final in 15th place; their first final session score of 61.79% pushed them into fourth. They followed that up with a 59.12% second final to win by 2.38 matchpoints. Their combined score with carryover was 1023.90 (31 top).
This is the first open NABC title for both players. With the win, they have both achieved the rank of Grand Life Master.
Kranyak noted he is the last in his family to become a Grand Life Master, after his late wife, Laurie, and their son, John.
Finishing in third place was Haig Tchamitch and Robb Gordon, both of Arizona.
